East Renfrewshire Cricket Club
Our heart beats for cricket!
Our promise
Our members always support one another and have developed a strong community
We’re always happy to welcome new members, whether they’re beginners or advanced, and we invite anyone interested in cricket to come by for a chat and watch our teams training. Established by local residents in 2013 because there was no cricket club or playing and training facility in a council area with over 95000 residents. East Renfrewshire Cricket Club is a volunteer-led organisation which provides cricket playing opportunities to juniors and adults across the local authority. We understand the benefits that sport can bring both physically and mentally and embarked on a journey to create a new club for the community and build the newest cricket ground and training facility in Scotland consisting of; a new drainage system, an 8 wicket grass square and a fully enclosed quadruple lane outdoor net facility as there was nothing for cricket in the borough. Fast forward 7 years and the committee has organically built a sustainable cricket club on the south side of Glasgow consisting of over 150 members which include 2 senior teams, 5 junior teams with over 150 members, and secured a 31-year lease for the ground.
Some of our achievements include;
•4000 + The number of volunteer hours that have gone into the club since inception
•Leading cricket delivery to 23 primary schools and 6 High Schools

ERCC STATEMENT
East Renfrewshire Cricket Club fully acknowledges the findings and welcomes the recommendations following the publication of the Plan4Sport Independent Review into Racism in Scottish Cricket.
Our message is clear – cricket is for everyone. Discrimination has absolutely no place in cricket, in the street, on playing field, online or in wider society and we will not tolerate it under any circumstances. ERCC is an anti-racist organisation and is completely opposed to prejudice in all its forms. The Club has an ongoing commitment to diversity and education of players, coaches and staff at all levels. We will review all our procedures to ensure compliance and ensure all committee members, staff and coaches have the requisite EDI training going forward. There is no place for racism in our society – and we must all play our part in ensuring it is rooted out and eliminated. It is important that we ensure any historical wrongs that have been visited upon people at this Club are never repeated. Everyone involved at ERCC will continue to be vigilant and work together to ensure that all forms of abuse towards our players and management is exterminated. We will actively seek out the involvement of all members and the local community as well as other clubs, the Running out Racism campaign and work in conjunction with the action plan to be developed by Cricket Scotland to maintain and pursue this aim. Our players have our full support, and we stand shoulder to shoulder with them in collective attempts to eradicate all forms of discrimination.
